A lorry driver belonging to Ganapathi Palayam near Kattupputhur was found murdered at Jangalpatty Pirivu near here on Thursday.
Sources said the murder took place after the victim, Palanisamy (40), parked the Dindigul-bound lorry laden with bicycles from New Delhi for taking rest. Although the motive behind the murder was not known, Satish Kumar, another driver of the lorry, told the police that it could be the handiwork of a gang which tried to steal cash when he and Palanisamy were sleeping. Aravakuruchi police are investigating.
