The cast of Yeh Hai Mohabbatein bond over food

The adage ‘the family that eats together, stays together’ could well extend to actors in a tele-serial. We hear that the cast of Ekta Kapoor’s TV show, Ye Hai Mohabbatein, that’s playing on Star Plus, always eat together during the shoot.

Never mind if we see a lot of flaring tempers and ego hassles on our TV screens, the principal characters, i.e.the Iyers and the Bhallas, make share a very warm and friendly camaraderie in between the shots. And despite the actors having their own separate make-up rooks, they always get together for lunch, which, as sources say, looks like pot luck lunch every day on the sets. The actors, who get their meals from their respective homes, put them on the table during the break and share ghar-ka-khaana with each other.

Abhay Bhargava, who plays Mr Iyer in the show, usually gets requests from his co-stars to get the delicacies prepared by his wife. Divyanka Tripathi, who plays Ishita Bhalla, often gets a yummy dessert for her co-actors.
Confirming their bonding over food, Abhay says, “We’re all foodies and at the same time, also have sweet teeth. Sometimes we shoot in different units, so this is the time we spend together and bond over finger-licking, lip-smacking food.”
