World No. 3 woman player and Arjuna awardee in chess Koneru Humpy will grace the annual sports meet of Ravindra Bharathi School at Railway Stadium on Thursday.
“The day-long meet will see students of the four branches — Mogalrajapuram, Bhavanipuram, Satyanarayanapuram and Patamata — vying for honours representing four Houses — Viswa Bharathi, Geetanjali, Shantiniketan and Tagore,” said school’s dean Satya Chitra.
Ms. Chitra said the school had staged the preliminary rounds earlier and chosen the winners for the final annual meetDeputy Commissioner of Police G.V.G. Ashok Kumar will be the chief guest and District Sports Development Officer P. Ramakrishna will be the guest of honour.
