Mysore zone reports 6 new H1N1 cases

Six new suspected cases of H1N1 - two each from Mysuru, Mandya and Chamarajanagar districts - were reported late on Tuesday.

MYSURU: Six new suspected cases of H1N1 - two each from Mysuru, Mandya and Chamarajanagar districts - were reported late on Tuesday.
All six have been admitted to JSS Hospital in Mysuru.
Their condition is reported to be stable. Swab samples of the six patients have been sent for examination to Bengaluru, said Dr H T Puttaswamy, district health officer, Mysuru.

Of the three positive cases of H1N1 reported in Mysuru this year, one died on %February 15. Another patient was discharged on February 16 and the third, a tourist from Tamil Nadu, is undergoing treatment at a private hospital in Mysuru, sources said.
As on February 16, the district had reported 17 suspected H1N1 cases. The samples of all these cases have been sent to Bengaluru.
