Nathalie Colin has a brain that never stops working. Creative director of Swarovski since 2006, leading a team of fifty people based in Paris, she says she finds inspiration in everything she sees: “Every single thing has potential within it to broaden your mind”. A contemporary art installation, an objet trouvé, an illustration for children, an antique jewel… “The images that strike me bring to mind others that, in the end, become an idea for a new bijoux”.
It happens that fragments, colors and forms mix, transforming firstly into a drawing, then into a necklace, an earring, a bracelet. Like Stardust – the best-seller consisting of 730 crystals, almost entirely made by hand – on which Colin has decided to focus also for next spring. Which, she previews to us, will all be in pastel shades.
