MRTS train derails; no casualties

An MRTS train bound for Chennai Beach station derailed at Park station, at ground level, on Wednesday morning. There were no casualties.

The train went off the track 20 meters before the station and came to a halt after hitting platform number 1.

Railway officials said that there were no casualties. The accident happened around 10.15 am. A special break down train was brought to the station to remove the train.

MRTS train services remain affected.
