V.M. Shaji, school teacher who is one of the two accused in the case relating to the suicide by a Headmaster at Taliparamba, was arrested by the Sreekantapuram police here on Tuesday.
The police investigating the suicide by E.P. Sasidharan, Headmaster of Tagore Vidyanikethan, Taliparamba, in a hotel room in Kasaragod on December 14 have named Taliparamba MLA James Mathew and Shaji, teacher in the same school, as accused in the case.
Shaji was arrested from his residence at Chuzhali early Tuesday, the police said.
He will be produced before the Judicial Magistrate at Taliparamba.
The accused had been absconding for the past few weeks.
