Non-Aligned Policy
JAVAN: Iran has managed to stand its ground and preserve its non-aligned and independent policy; a policy that says it is possible to preserve your independence and national identity with little or no help from foreign powers. Iran proved it is possible to survive and tell the tale without ever depending on foreign powers. It is possible to have a fair and just world in which relations are based on mutual trust and a win-win mentality. A world in which all human beings have equal rights and can live with each other in peace and harmony.
Anti-Islam Wars
VATAN EMROOZ: Hollywood and other Western film industries have made movies with Islam as the main theme in which they have depicted Muslims as terrorists, fanatics, extremists, bigots and anti-socials, bent on creating havoc in the Western hemisphere. All we need is look at the contemporary history to find out for ourselves who are the real terrorists, extremists and warmongers? Hundreds of thousands of innocent people were killed and wounded when the U.S. dropped two atomic bombs over Japan. Many are still suffering. The U.S.-led war on terror plus the drone wars continue to kill and mime tens of thousands of innocent people in places like Afghanistan, Pakistan, Yemen and North Africa. This criminal assault on humanity has even put to shame Hitler and Genghis Khan. All Western governments need to do is look in the mirror.
Troop Surge
ABRAR: In terms of troop surge, Obama claims the troops won’t be going into combat, but Pentagon officials say they would be deployed to the front lines in Anbar Province. Despite the pretense, the deployment of ground troops into Anbar all but ensures that they will be involved in combat against ISIL - an escalation that the democratically elected government in Baghdad says doesn’t want. With American boots touching the ground, further escalation is in the offing, and with further escalation, there will be no hope for a speedy peace in Iraq.
Self-Belief
KHORASAN: In collaboration with Iranian military advisers, Iraqi ground forces have managed to liberate several towns and villages across Iraq. These gains have given a new lease of life to the Iraqi army and volunteer forces. They are now more than ever determined to liberate the rest of the country from foreign-backed terrorists - with little or no help from the U.S.-led coalition forces. They have come to believe themselves to be liberators of their country and they have every reason to be skeptical of America’s bogus coalition.
