Vadodara’s Sur Sagar lake was decorated with thousands of oil lamps on its periphery. Religious music and songs were all over in air. 111 ft tall Lord Shiva statue in the middle of the lake was in focus with excellent light arrangements. This was the highlights of the evening of Maha Shivratri here.

Local BJP MLA Yogeshbhai Patel has this year organized Shiv Utsav on major scale in Vadodara city. He said that a 111 ft tall Sarveshwar Mahadev statue was installed in Sursagar lake inspired by Savli based Swamishri. Now as per Swamiji’s pledge, Vadodara has also a 18 ft tall panchdhatu made Shivji ki savari.

Tushar Bhosle and group presented Shivji’s Maha aarti at Sursagar lake front which was participated by Chief Minister Anandiben Patel, minister Saurabh Patel, local MP, MLAs and others.

The event was organized by Satyap Shivam Sundara committee. Chief Minister on this occasion felicitated the maker of Sarveshwar Shiva Statue (which is installed in the middle of Sursagar lake) Shri Naresh Maturam Verma.
