MP condemns attack on Christian properties

February 14, 2015 12:00 am | Updated 05:41 am IST - PUDUCHERRY:

Senior Congress leader and Rajya Sabha Member of Parliament P. Kannan has condemned the recent attack on Christian properties and institutions in New Delhi and urged authorities to curb such incidents.

In a statement, Mr. Kannan said that the unfortunate incidents are not good for any civilised society. The centre and state should take immediate steps and the culprits responsible for the violence must be arrested.

“I do not wish to blame any government or political party for the attacks,” he said. The BJP government at the centre should curb these incidents failing which it would lose the confidence of the people.

All political parties should learn lessons from the Aam Aadmi Party failing which people would teach the party a lesson, he added.
