Country made guns seized

Five country made guns were seized and three persons who allegedly possessed them were arrested in Jawadu Hills in a couple of days.

Police personnel led by Polur Deputy Superintendent of Police Ganesan including the Sub Inspector of Police, Jamunamarathur, Sivasankaran conducted a search in Keel Kupsanur village on Saturday. They found two country made guns from the houses of Chinnasamy and Srinivasan and arrested them.

Another raid was held in Periya Keelpattu village near Thenmalai Athipattu on Sunday. An illicit gun was unearthed from agricultural field of Thukkan, who has been arrested. - Staff Reporter
