But now there is no security for the life and property of the people. The lives of police officers who dare to investigate cases against Ministers were at risk, Mr. Ismail said.

He said the Chief Minister had been withdrawing cases against RSS activists to please Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

“As the fall of the Congress in almost sure in the State, Mr. Chandy is trying to get as much as possible from the BJP government,” he alleged.

Minority communities were living in a kind fear under the Modi rule, he said. CPI State assistant secretary K. Praksh Babu; State secretariat members K.P. Rajendran, Satyan Mokeri, K.R. Chandramohan; senior leader Meenakshi Thamban; and others are participating.

District secretary K.K. Valsaraj presented the working report. The conference will conclude on Tuesday.
