Companies will have to pay 2% CSR to govt from April 2015:Gujarat CM

Gujarat government will collect 2% CSR(Corporate Social Responsibility) money from all companies across the state starting from April-2015, said Gujarat Chief Minister Anandiben Patel speaking at Eklara village of Umergaon taluka in South Gujarat.

Chief Minister further said that the money collected this way will be utilized for construction of toilets and for automatic mid-day meal making plants.

Chief Minister said this in her speech after inaugurating Asian Aerosoal Company’s new plant in Eklara village.

Chief Minister dedicated Vibrant Valsad Industrial Portal for investors who have signed Memorandum of Understanding(MoU) for investment in Valsad district. Through two-way software, the investors and district administration will be able to communicate with each other on various issues. The software will be available for use through vvipgujarat.com. The website has also a facility of SMS notification.

She also launched a website of I-poshan which is part of nutrition drive. Through I-poshan, the government will be able to monitor the progress of nutrition project meant for pregnant women and children online. Initially the project has been implemented in 100 anganwadis. The project involves I-poshan software, website and tablets that are distributed to staff.

Chief Minister distributed cervical Cancer kits. She said 500 kits are given by America based company.These kits will be produced at Vapi in Valsad district under the government of India’s ‘Make in India’ mission.

Sarigam Industrial Association donated Rs. 1 crore to Chief Minister for construction of toilets. Asian Aerosol Company donated Rs. 11 lakh to Chief Minister’s Girl Child Education Fund.
