Hearing the people out

Letter February 15, 2015
Getting direct feedback from the public in this manner is a good example of practising democracy.

MIANWALI: The PTI Chairman, Imran Khan, recently heard the problems that the people of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (K-P) have via a Peshawar radio station. This was a good way of listening to the people directly so that he can gauge the gap between performance of his government and the promises, made somewhat accurately.

I suggest that Nawaz Sharif also follow this example. On the same lines, the prime minister should be sensitive to the demands of the people in Punjab and Asif Ali Zardari should pay the same heed to the suffering of the people of Sindh. Getting direct feedback from the public in this manner is a good example of practising democracy.
