Danganronpa, Blood Lad Creators' Guren 5 Manga to End

The March issue of Media Factory's Monthly Comic Gene magazine announced on Saturday that the "delinquent pop action" manga Guren 5 will end in the next issue. The magazine's April issue will go on sale in Japan on March 14.
Kazutaka Kodaka, the scenario writer for the Danganronpa game, created Guren 5's story, and Blood Lad manga creator Yūki Kodama designed the main characters for the series that launched in 2013. Riku Shinoda, a winner of the Monthly Comic Rookie Queen award and MF Comic Prizes' Gene Prize, is drawing the actual art. The tagline of the manga is, "Delinquents will save the world!!?"
Media Factory released the series' second compiled volume in Japan on October 27, and the third is slated to ship on March 27.
The Danganronpa game inspired an anime series that premiered in 2013. Kodama's Blood Lad manga also inspired a television anime. Yen Press publishes the Blood Lad manga in North America.
