Home Minister Ramesh Chennithala will inaugurate the valedictory of the silver jubilee celebrations of Muloor S. Padmanabha Panicker Memorial at Elavumthitta on February 16.
In a statement issued here on Wednesday, K. Sasikumar, and M.R. Sahrudayan Thampi, president and secretary of the Muloor Smaraka Samiti, said that the 146th birth anniversary of the 19th century satirist Muloor S. Padmanabha Panicker will also be celebrated on the occasion.
K. Sivadasan Nair, MLA, will preside over the inaugural function and Anto Antony, MP, will deliver the keynote address.
Nedumudy Harikumar, Director of Kerala Children’s Literature Institute, will deliver the Muloor memorial lecture.
The former MLA K.C. Rajagopalan; samiti treasurer P. Surendran; block panchayat president K.R. Pramodkumar; and Prof. Sasikumar will also address the meeting.
Award
Revenue Minister Adoor Prakash will present this year’s Muloor Award to Rafique Ahamed and Unikrishnan Poozhikkad. Poet Ezhachery Ramachandran will inaugurate a poets’ meet on February 17. Viswamangalam Surendran will preside.
