MUMBAI: The special police team formed to probe the seizure of 2,173 SIM cards from Govanid resident Sharif Khan have found videos and pictures of Iraq arson and riots on his Facebook account.
The police’s suspicion of Khan having possible links with ISIS strengthened after they found Rs 64 lakh in his four different bank accounts. The banks have been asked to furnish the source of the money.

Khan told the police that the money has been deposited by a mobile service provider for selling SIM cards and porting them, however the service provider denied the claims.
“We are trying to find out the source of the ISIS videos and who had deposited so much money in his accounts,” said an officer. The cyber crime investigation cell has been asked to track the source of the videos.
The police have so far arrested five persons, including Khan, and three mobile service provider executives- Abid Siddiqui, Atin Vast alias Sharma and Dharmendera Bangari for running a fake documentation racket.
