Lalisom enters Urban Dictionary!

Lalisom enters Urban Dictionary!
When Alia Bhat made a royal goof up on National TV by naming Prithviraj Chauhan as the Delhi Chief Minister, ‘Alia’ became a word, unofficially.
‘An Alia Moment’ became synonymous with saying something stupid of epic proportions. It looks like Mohanlal’s band Lalisom’s debut debacle at the National Games opening ceremony has made way for something similar.

Lalisom has found a place in the widely popular online slang dictionary, Urban dictionary, which describes it as a noun, meaning: The act of courting unwanted controversy by doing something that you are not an expert at, especially singing.
The word also has derivatives — lalistic (adj), lalistically (adv) with examples: 1. John always sings whenever he gets an opportunity and we are fed up with his lalisom 2. You made a speech at a huge gathering of such eminent experts without any preparation? How lalistic!
Earlier, social media trolls had made memes and jokes making fun of the band and the actor for his vanity in making a band on his own film songs. Lalisom became ‘Lolisom’ for some while others speculated on possible names — Pandisom (Santhosh Pandit), Nazisom and Fasisom (Nazriya and Fahadh Faasil) and even Somanabulisom (the late actor Soman)! Well, Mohanlal might sure be regretting the day he decided to, or agreed to name his music band Lalisom.
Who coined the word?
Urban Dictionary is a crowdsourced online dictionary of slang words and phrases that was founded in 1999 as a parody of Dictionary.com. At the start of 2014, the dictionary featured over seven million definitions, while 2,000 new daily entries were being added. Anyone with either a Facebook or Gmail account can make a submission to the dictionary.
