Alex Otti’s Undeserved Attack By Madubuko Hart
Not long ago I came across an article titled the Hallucinations Of 'Madubuko Hart” which I must confess made a very interesting reading. Little did I know at the time that not too long after, the said Madubuko Hart will be writing about me. In a rejoinder to an article of mine titled 'Abia Elections And The Fear Of Rigging' Mr Hart described me as uninformed and a goon, not to mention a few other choice words he used in describing me and my opinions.
My initial impulse was to write my own rejoinder but after considerable thought I decided it was not worth the time and effort, considering the fact that a great number of people who were familiar with his writings were already busy fighting that battle for me.
That notwithstanding Mr Hart has continued to spew his nonsense, the most recent being a piece in some online news forum titled “Alex, An Overdressed Traveler” in which he called the Abia APGA Governorship flag bearer , a sham candidate who was also a wicked man.
As I read further hoping to find out what crime Dr. Otti had committed to warrant anyone calling him a wicked witch, I found out to my utter dismay that in Mr Hart's book Dr. Otti had committed the most horrible act of criticizing T A Orji's poor performance in office, when we all know that being critical of each other , especially on opposing sides is what Politicians do and a good politician will do it well, sometimes even when they belong to the same party. He went further to say that's the reason Abia people detest Drotti so much is because of his wickedness. Which begs the question, in what planet does this guy reside on?
There are some who may regard Mr Hart's idiotic and malicious genuflections as his opinions , which he is entitled to. That may be technically true, but it is a bit of a dodge.Its just that I believe that anyone who is in the business of trying to influence or shape other people's opinions by the things they say or write should be truthful, informed and precise.
If they are at least that, they can be as wrong headed as they want to be and still provide valuable service. Even though opinions are sometimes unfair, subjective or narratives shaped to one's preferences, they should at least be consistent with known facts to be worthy of consideration. As they saying goes 'everyone is entitled to his or her opinion, but not to their own set of facts”. What Mr Hart has consistently done if you look at his writings, is to misrepresent the facts as he sees fit, not ever letting the truth stand in the way of a good story.
As humans we are less accurate judges of our intelligence and creativity, because those are hard to evaluate objectively. So we depend on others to do it for us, fairly or unfairly. The point is never to believe everything you think about yourself. I am sure Mr Hart thinks of himself as a literary giant considering the rate at which he spews out his lies and political diatribes .
The truth is that the guy is a compulsive liar and a moron. Having decided to be a ventriloquist for T A Orji and his godson Ikpeazu, Mr Hart continues , by the nature of his abuses and vile language against DrOtti put himself outside the boundaries of polite society.
As vigorously as he can , he has been doing his utmost to sanitize T A Orji's administration and obscure the truth which is that Mr Orji has been the worst governor in the history of Nigeria's state governance. Some even say globally. In so doing Mr Hart has lent credence to the words of Winston Churchill when he said 'in war truth is so precious, it has to be guided by a bodyguard of lies”.
He shamelessly denies that T A Orji rigged the delegate list of the PDP primaries in the state so as to favor his surrogate in the person of DrIkpeazu. He celebrates the Federal Government award of CON on T A Orji, saying it was in recognition of his accomplishments, when we all know that some of the people who receive those awards are undeserving of it .Hence I agree with the late Chinua Achebe when he said 'Its better to deserve an award and not get it, than to have it and not deserve it”. No doubt T A Orji belongs to the later.
In one of his articles.Mr Hart being the hypocrite that he is described one OlusegunAdeniyi who had committed the crime of lamenting the poor state of Affairs in Abia state in one of his write up and the emergence of Alex Otti as a viable alternative “as a fighter who fights a war that was supposed to be engaged at the war front afar'.
Yet that is exactly what Mr Hart does. He writes from the comfort of his ramshackle beer joint in lagosand does not show his ugly face anywhere or better still provide a picture to accompany his silly articles. Anyone who has had the misfortune of reading one of his idiotic ramblings and incoherent treatises would testify to the fact that they are devoid of any original thought process. The truth is that the reader gets dumber after reading his articles. That he is always losing his stream of thought in his writings is probably because it is unfamiliar territory.
Rather than restrict his writings to extolling the qualities of his paymaster, DrIkpeazu, Mr Hart prefers to devote his time trying to rain abuses on Alex Otti and his considerable life achievements. Just a few days ago, another hired hand in the person of one Onuzuruike joined the PDP hit squad. He also decided that Alex Otti was fair game. Which begs the question , why the tag team attack? The answer may lie in the fact that the Ikpeazu team has become very jittery and are running scared considering the political strides DrOtti has made with the Abia electorate.
To Mr Onuzuruike, I say welcome to the world of fools. As a friend of mine would say, 'God must love stupid people so much , that he made a lot of them”. With the postponement of the elections, fools like Mssrs Hart and Onuzuruike, paid pipers of the T A Orji regime must earn their pay in the intervening period. There aremay more rats like them who will be coming out of the wood works to join the rat race. Its just that win or lose they will still remain rats. That these rodents are attacking Dr. Otti is no surprise to me, I am rather taken by the fact that they started this late. To Dr Otti, all I can say as in the words of Jonathan Swift is ,'When a true genius appears, in the world, you may know him by this sign-the dunces are all in confederacy against him”
Mr Hart can continue to be stupid and uninformed as he chooses to be. H e and his fellow monkey contestants can continue to fight for the peanut prizes dangled before them by their sponsors, but they cannot deny the fact that they are swimming against the tide. I am not going to be tempted to insult DrIkpeazu. I believe the man is a nice guy whose electoral prospects if ever he had any has been greatly damaged by the twin issues of his poor performance as the state's sanitation chief and the public anger against T A Orji's performance as Governor. Its more like the sins of the Godfather is being visited on his Godson.
I did sympathize with him though when the people of Aba threw sachet water at him and again when the people of Isiukwuato did the same, probably in retaliation for how their son Ogah was cheated out of the PDP primaries.
I honestly admire the brave face he has continued to put on, not that he has any choice .Its just that I continue to hope he is a good poker player, that way he would know that Alex Otti has a better hand and as Kenny Rogers will say 'Know when to fold”. As for the rest of his campaign operatives like Mr Hart, they can continue like the Ostrich to hide their head in the sand, even though the Ostrich does not really do that, hence it is a phrase used as an expression to describe self imposed ignorance. For them to refuse to acknowledge the truth and to continue to attack Drotti , in time will prove what it has always been, an exercise in futility.
A Prominent American football player was once asked what was fun about being an offensive Line player. To which he replied ' there is no greater fun than moving a man from point A to point B against his will”. That is exactly what the Alex Otti campaign has done successfully to the PDP candidate in Abia.
They are now in a panicky mode. I will conclude this rejoinder to MrMadubuko Hart by quoting one MrIfeanyiAmanze who in an article said this of Mr Hart “It is not the fact that Mr Hart spews his gibberish from a beer parlor that riles-it is the fact that in striving to live up to billings of his paymasters , he often swerves into the realm of lies , half truths and outright mendacity.”I could not have said it any better. To which I may add the following 'Some people cause happiness wherever they go, others like Mr hart, when they leave” . I hope by April 11, we will see the last of habitual and degenerate liars like MR Madubuko Hart.
