KOCHI: In a major upset, Olympian Deepika Kumari failed to pick up a medal in the women's individual recurve archery event.
The ace Indian archer, however, picked up gold in the mixed team event in the company of Jayanta Talukdar and women's team event with Laxmi Rani Majhi, Reena Kumari and Rimil Biruli.
The individual men's and women's gold were won by Jharkhand's Laxmi Rani Majhi and Services' Tarundeep Rai.

Mizoram win football gold
In men's football, Mizoram defeated Punjab 1-0 in the final to win the gold at Corporation stadium, Kozhikode.
Imanuel Lalthazuala scored the winner for Mizoram in the 83rd minute. In the third-place playoff, Maharashtra defeated Goa 3-1 to claim the bronze.
Meanwhile, Services continued to stay on course for a hat-trick of overall titles on the eighth day of competitions being firmly placed on the top of overall medal standings with a total of 78 (48 gold, 15 silver and 15 bronze) medals.
Maharashtra stayed second on account of lesser gold medals with a tally of 91 (27 gold, 37 silver and 27 bronze), followed by Haryana (27 gold, 18 silver and 7 bronze).
The blue ribbon event athletics, which began on Monday in Thiruvananthapuram, saw favourites and hosts Kerala suffered an early setback when star long jumper Ranjith Maheshwary failed to make the finals after being disqualified for false starts in the qualifying round.
