Cultural and religious programmes and discourses for nine days will mark the Shivaratri Mahotsava of Sri Siddaroodha Swami Mutt. Thousands of people from across Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, Maharashtra, Goa and other States are expected to participate in the festivities.

Chairman of the Sri Siddharoodha Swami Mutt trust committee Basavaraj Kalyanshettar, vice-chairman Dharanendra Javali, honorary secretary Yallappa Doddamani, and trustee Mahendra Singhi told presspersons here on Monday that the annual ‘rathotsava’ of the mutt would be held on February 18 at 5.30 p.m.

The event would conclude with a ‘koudi puja’ at 6 p.m. on February 20, they said. Mr. Basavaraj Kalyanshettar said that hundreds of devotees had joined hands in conducting the event through their benevolent donations and they would also be monitoring the arrangements.
