B.S. Yeddyurappa, MP and the former Chief Minister, on Monday said that Chief Minister Siddaramaiah was not cooperating with the Union Railways Ministry by not providing funds from the State for development of railways.
Addressing presspersons after flagging off the Byndoor-Kasaragod passenger train here, Mr. Yeddyurappa said that when he was the Chief Minister, he had ploughed in funds for the development of railways. Though Mr. Siddaramaiah had presented a budget of Rs. 1.2 lakh crore, it would not be difficult for him to set aside Rs. 1,000 crore annually for development of railways. By not cooperating, Mr. Siddaramaiah was harming development of railways in the State, he said.
