The South Central Railways has deputed a commercial officer to Pune in advance for extensive publicity for short termination of Shatabdi Express by frequent announcements at the Pune railway station.

PUNE: The South Central Railways has deputed a commercial officer to Pune in advance for extensive publicity for short termination of Shatabdi Express by frequent announcements at the Pune railway station. The Pune-Secunderabad-Pune (12025/12026) Shatabdi will be short terminated at Lingampalli station (on the outskirts of Hyderabad) only on Saturdays till March 21 to facilitate completion of ongoing work on metro rail.
The South Central Railways have made special arrangements for information of passengers. According to SCR officials all passengers on board will be informed personally. Since coach watering facility is not available at Lingampalli station, all the coaches will be filled with sufficient water at Solapur railway station to avoid inconvenience to passengers. The railways will send SMS messages to the reserved passengers of Shatabdi Express about short termination and originating of the train from Lingampalli. Frequent announcements will be made at Lingampalli and Secunderabad railway stations.
On February 7, a special MMTS train was run from Secunderabad to Lingampalli at 2:45 pm. A special MMTS train was run from Lingampalli to Secunderabad at 2:50 pm. The railways arranged four Metro Luxury AC buses from Lingampalli to Secunderabad to facilitate passengers of Shatabdi. In coordination with Cyberabad traffic police, the railways arranged the availability of prepaid autos and taxis at the Lingampalli railway station. Senior officials along with supervisory staff camped at both the stations to monitor the situation.
The South Central Railways has said a traffic block will be imposed between Bharatnagar and Sanathnagar stations near Hyderabad between 12.15pm and 3.15pm every Saturday.
The 12025 Pune Secunderabad Shatabdi will be reach Lingampalli at 1.40pm. On its return journey, the 12026 will leave at 3.15pm from Lingampalli, which is 24km from Hyderabad, the railways said.
