LAHORE - PML-Q parliamentary leader in Punjab Assembly Moonis Elahi submitted a resolution in the assembly secretariat on Friday concerning the immediate start of Kalabagh Dam to overcome the acute energy crisis.
The resolution stated that immediate steps for the construction of Kalabagh Dam should be initiated in an effort to overcome the mounting crisis of electricity and water shortage after evolving consensus among all the provinces.
It stated that Pakistan and Punjab in particular were facing acute water and electricity crises, which were aggravating with each passing day.
