SSSA Club beat Kanpur Gymkhana by huge margin

Opener Shobhit Tiwar’s unbeaten century helped SSSA Club to beat Kanpur Gymkhana by a huge margin of 215 runs, and earned full points in Red Chief Kanpur cricket league match played at Palika stadium on Friday.
Put into bat SSSA scored 298 for 4 in stipulated 35 overs. Shobhit played a fine knock of 110 runs in 94 balls. He plundered 13 boundaries and two sixes.Ashish Bajpai contributed 70 runs in 39 balls and blasted 7 boundaries and 4 sixes. Gaurav Jaiswal chipped 32 runs. Shubham Verma and Anant Shukla captured 2 and 1 wickets respectively.
Kanpur Gymkhana in reply collapsed on 83 runs in 26.2 overs. Jitendra Singh scored highest 17 runs. Eight batsmen could not reach the double figure while three batsmen ran themselves out in hurry. Ashok Singh and Gaurav Jaiswal both captured two wickets each.

Captain Siddharth Das’s fine performance--89 n.o. and 1 wicket--helped host Green Park to beat Kamla Club youngsters by 4 wickets in Kanpur Premier League played here on Friday.
Kamla Club, batting first, posted a total of 199 for 6 in stipulated 35 overs. Sagar Motwani and Shubham Gupta were their main scorers. Motwani hit highest 81 runs with the help of 10 boundaries in 110 balls. Shubham Gupta chipped 40 runs. Piyush Yadav of Green Park bagged 2 wickets for 40 runs while Siddharth Das and Abhishek Yadav captured one wicket each.
Green Park stadium in reply hit 203 runs for the loss of 6 wickets and won the match. Siddharth Das led his side as a true captain with his unbeaten innings of 89 runs with the help of 12 hits to the fence and one six. Ankit Singh contributed 35 runs.
