Manisha Koirala joins Game
In the comeback flick, she will share screen space with her Mudhalvan co-star Arjun

So, it’s official. Manisha Koirala is returning to silver screen after a brief hiatus through director AMR Ramesh’s Kannada-Tamil bilingual Game, shooting for which starts on February 16. The exact date on which she will shoot is not yet finalised. But since the entire shooting is expected to be wrapped up before March 31, she is expected to take part in shooting before that in some locations in Karnataka. The only other schedule for Game is for 10 days in Switzerland.
Confirming the development, director Ramesh said the dates are being worked out and Koirala has already given a green signal after hearing the script. “She agreed only because she liked the script and the role we wanted her in,” he said. Arjun Sarja plays the lead role in Game which also stars Shaam.

Koirala has acted with Arjun before in the Tamil film Mudhalvan. She acted in a Malayalam and a Tamil film a few years ago. She overcame cancer a couple of years ago and this will be her first film after her fightback. There were reports suggesting that she may return to films with a Hindi film directed by Sanjay Leela Bansali, but Ramesh seems to have made an offer she could not refuse.
Ramesh is known for making films on real incidents and persons. While his most recent Attahasa was on the forest brigand Veerappan, his bestknown film continues to be Cyanide which was about the hunt for former prime minister Rajiv Gandhi’s killers. For this film, however, Ramesh is not ready to reveal the incident. “It is about a murder and a missing body and the investigation around it. It is left to anyone’s imagination whose murder it is,” he says.
