LUDHIANA: The second day of the two day International Digital Literacy Forum on "Redefining Literacy in the Emerging Digital Society " organized on 5 and 6February, 2015 at Bhutta College of Education concluded today. The Forum aimed at creating awareness about Digital Literacy among stakeholders through the medium of International Conference, Workshop and Exhibition.
The day began with Technical sessions In the subthemes of e-education , Technical subjects, E -access, E-communication, Video Conferencing ,E agriculture and E manufacturing. Manoj Saxena, Dean, School of Education, Central University of HP, Rajnish Talwar, Principal, CGC, Technical Campus, Jhanjeri, Dr. Sandhya, Assoc. Professor MM Edu. Mullana, Ambala, Kanchan Sandhu, Department of Home Science, PAU chaired technical sessions on various sub themes in which delegates from various parts of the country and from many parts of the world like Ghana, Uganda, Afghanistan, Denmark and Sierra Leone participated and presented papers in the conference.
On the second day of the Forum, Workshop and Exhibition on Digital Literacy included sessions on practical know how of digitalization in fields of Art, Banking, Education and use of ICT in Teaching through hands on experience. In the Valedictory Session Karamjit Singh, Teacher of Government. School ,Kheri Jhameri and Ajit Kumar ,Student of Mahavir School were honored for contributing to the field of Digital literacy. Ms. Julliet Kordom , Embassy of Ghana was present as the Guest of Honor. An oath was also taken by all at the Forum to be Messengers of Digital Literacy.
Jagdish Singh Garcha, Former Cabinet Minister and Member Governing Council, Professor Amarjit Singh Grewal, Sonu Grewal, Principal Bhutta College of Education honored the guests and gave away certificates to the participants.
