Making the most of the last day of campaigning for the Delhi Assembly elections, Aam Aadmi Party leader Arvind Kejriwal toured the entire New Delhi constituency from where he is contesting. Mr. Kejriwal emerged a giant killer during the last elections when he defeated former Delhi Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit by a huge margin from this seat.

According to party insiders, he is confident of winning again, which is why he spent all his time on Thursday with the people who voted for him in the last elections. “There is something divine that tells me everything will be good. My God is with me,” he said.

Mr. Kejriwal started with a 20-minute road show. Later, he hopped into his car and covered nearly 20 different places, meeting people and listening to their issues.

Many people asked him why he quit as Chief Minister. An old woman, resident of a government flat, said: “Why are you here to ask for our vote again? We voted for you the last time, but you left the post.”

Mr. Kejriwal replied: “I apologise for what happened. I will not let you down this time.”
