‘Justice is the only consolation we need’; Gauri’s Parents Distraught
LUCKNOW: Architect Shishir Srivastava, father of the girl whose body was found chopped on Monday, was seen sharing his trauma on Wednesday with his neighbors. “I don’t care if somebody loses his job or remains. I only want fast-track investigation into the case so that the murderers are nabbed and I may ask them why they committed the heinous crime.”
Gauri’s mother Tripta was beyond consolation by family, friends and neighbours who kept advising her to gather strength to fight for justice.
The girl had gone out to give her father’s jacket for dry-clean and chopped pieces of her body were found zipped in the jacket’s cover.
Gauri’s uncle Lalit Srivastava made efforts to check CCTV footage installed at various hotels and shops facing the main road hoping to get some clue that could facilitate the probe.
“Our loss can’t be repaired as we cannot forget the brutality done to our daughter. The only thing that can now bring some relief is if the culprits are awarded severe punishment,” said Shishir Srivastava.
