JHANSI: Film actor-turned-politician Raja Bundela extended support to Uma Bharati on the basis of her announcement of separate Bundelkhand state within three years of formation of BJP government.
"I will stand beside her as a soldier and remind her about this issue," he said. Criticising sitting MP Pradeep Jain Aditya, Bundela said that he has only made tall claims but never raised the issue of separate Bundelkhand for once in the Parliament.
After remaining for five years in Congress and floating his own party named as Bundelkhand Congress, Bundela joined BJP when Narendra Modi had addressed a rally in Jhansi. When asked about lack of mass movement on the issue of separate Bundelkhand, he said that the leaders of the region have created such a situation for the common man that they cannot think any other issue but to earn their livelihood.
Fuming over the question of the raising of separate Bundelkhand only at the time of elections, he said that he has devoted major portion of life and career on this issue and have made movies also.
