Snapshots from Lara Balsara's traditional nuptials to pilot Kaizad Vajifdar

Madison World's Executive Director Lara Balsara rang in 2015 with a new chapter of her life as she tied the knot with Air India pilot, Kaizad Vajifdar. The celebrations were spread over four days starting with the wedding on January 15, which was a strictly family affair held at the Colaba Agiary.
The next day, Balsara's colleagues and friends from Madison and MediaCom were hosted at Malcolm Baug, the quaint neighbourhood where the Balsaras reside. A cocktail party was hosted at the Palladium Hotel on January 22 for guests from overseas.

The Balsaras and Vajifdars, dressed in traditional attire, hosted stalwarts from the advertising, media and marketing fraternity for a celebration at the Colaba Agiary on January 23.

Madison World Chairman and Lara's father, Sam Balsara, says most industry associations like AAAI (Advertising Agencies Association of India), ASCI (Advertising Standard Council of India), IAA (International Advertising Association) — India Chapter, ABC (Audit Bureau of Circulation) among others held their monthly meetings on January 22 and 23 to enable the industry to participate in the celebrations.

About 1,000 guests from the industry attended the function. The guests included Godrej Group's Adi and Parmeshwar Godrej, Tanya Dubash and Nisa Godrej, RPG Group's Harsh Goenka, Uday Shankar from Star, Airtel's Mohit Beotra, Nitin Paranjpe from Unilever, adman Prasoon Joshi, Tarun Katial from Reliance Broadcast Network and Coca-Cola's Debabrata Mukherjee.

Attendees feasted on a traditional Parsi banquet, which included such delicacies as Patra Ni Machchi, Tareli Machchi, Chicken Pestonji, Salli Boti, Kolmi Papeto among others. Post-festivities, the newly-wedded couple took off for their honeymoon to Finland and Iceland.
