They relived several memories of the past 50 years of their togetherness by solemnizing their marriage again. Inder K Jain and Sudesh Kanta Jain celebrated their occasion with their children and grandchildren.

LUDHIANA: They relived several memories of the past 50 years of their togetherness by solemnizing their marriage again. Inder K Jain and Sudesh Kanta Jain celebrated their occasion with their children and grandchildren.
Ankush Jain, an industrialist of Kitchlu Nagar and son of the couple, said, "My father was born in 1940 in Kasoor, now in Pakistan, and mom in same year in Patti in Amritsar.
During the Partition, my father's family migrated from Pakistan to Agra and then to Faridkot before settling in Ludhiana. They got married in January 1965 in Patti and were blessed with two sons (me and Amit) and a daughter (Pinky)".
They had a little story about their daughter Pinky. "My parents had prayed at Palitana to be blessed with a daughter. On March 3, 1976, their wish came true".
The family said Inder K Jain has not been keeping well for the past few days and thus planned a very low-key celebrations.
"There was sangeet and mehndi ceremony on the evening of January 27 and they were presented a beautiful hand painted portrait painted by my niece Eshana", said family members.
"On the day of anniversary, a puja was arranged in the Jain temple at Mahavir Enclave and after the puja, a short video of their 50 years journey and the best wishes of all the relatives was played out", said Ankush Jain.
"Then the cake was cut, rings were exchanged and finally the varmaala (floral garland). My uncle told me that at the time of the marriage, my mom's grandfather did not allow the varmaala ceremony as he considered it to be against the established social norms".
