Saint-Gobain launches LabPure® FEP bags

Saint-Gobain, a global leader in high-performance components and solutions using engineered polymers introduces a standard line of fluorinated ethylene propylene (FEP) bags for research and industrial applications. The new LabPure® FEP bags offer exceptional properties including gas permeability, inertness, material purity, chemical and temperature resistance.

LabPure® FEP bags have very low extractables and are Animal Derived Component Free (ADCF). The FEP material is USP Class VI certified with excellent biocompatibility. LabPure® bags can withstand -200°C to +200°C, retaining flexibility at very low temperatures. Available in six standard sizes, ranging from 25 ml to 1,000 ml, LabPure® bags come complete with attached Tygon® tubing suitable for sterile-docking applications. We also offer standard fluid transfer assemblies.

LabPure® bags are manufactured in a clean room environment using a proprietary laser sealing process that minimizes heat, protecting the material from damage. The high-quality manufacturing process delivers more durable and pliable bag to safely store valuable materials. The bags are resistant to impact and tearing and are certified to meet a standard of no particulates larger than 50 microns.

Ideal for research, biopharmaceutical and chemical applications, LabPure® bags are also great for industrial applications, solution storage, cryopreservation, or any application where an inert bag material with closed-system capability is required. LabPure® bags can be used for cell culture in research or bioprocessing applications. They display good gas permeability to O2, N2 and CO2 and are impermeable to H2O, allowing cell respiration without water loss. From beakers, jars and Erlenmeyer flasks to bottles and now FEP bags, Saint-Gobain offers a line of fluoropolymer laboratory containers, along with FEP overwraps for cryopreservation of extremely valuable samples.
