The glorious 60th Britannia Filmfare Awards saw some of the biggest names from the Hindi film industry taking the Black Lady home on the day the country’s grandest and oldest award ceremony completed six decades of honouring cinematic excellence.
The evening also saw some electrifying acts by Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt, who performed at the ceremony for the first time. But that wasn’t all.
Karan Johar’s co-host for the evening, Kapil Sharma, entered with band-baaja and, with his impeccable comic timing, ensured that everyone was entertained throughout. Queen and Haider emerged the top picks of 2014 with six and five awards each, respectively. Arjun Kapoor, Varun Dhawan and Shraddha Kapoor too delivered high-octane performances, but the best was reserved for the last as Salman Khan concluded the mega-celebrations with his grand act.
