USAC Issues Quarterly Report – $1.57B Available for Future Years

On January 30, 2015, the Universal Service Administrative Company (USAC) released their latest quarterly report with projections for the second quarter of 2015. The Schools and Libraries Division (SLD) estimates that they have $1.57 billion from previous years that can be carried forward into Funding Year 2015 or beyond.

The potential carry-over funds come from:

  • FY 1998: $4.99 million
  • FY 1999: $8.44 million
  • FY 2000: $7.70 million
  • FY 2001: $27.70 million
  • FY 2002: $15.20 million
  • FY 2003: $43.83 million
  • FY 2004: $20.95 million
  • FY 2005: $18.62 million
  • FY 2006: $31.80 million
  • FY 2007: $19.49 million
  • FY 2008: $18.46 million
  • FY 2009: $70.37 million
  • FY 2010: $378.57 million
  • FY 2011: $595.81 million
  • FY 2012: $295.12 million
  • FY 2013: $18.00 million

The FCC will determine at a later date how to use these unused E-rate funds.
