Telangana Dhoom Dham Artistes Association president Oddenna Yadav has thanked the Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao for his decision to provide jobs to as many as 550 artistes as promised at the time of Telangana agitation.

Talking to reporters here on Monday he said that the government acknowledged the services of artistes who had gone around every village to enlighten people on the need for fighting for Telangana.

Thus, they had played very active role in the movement and their efforts ultimately fructified with the formation of separate State, he said.

Mr. Oddenna congratulated the Manakondur MLA Rasamayi Balakishan for his appointment as the chairman, State Cultural Council.
