‘Dream big to create life of your own’ appears to be their motto. With no Godfather to support them, two teenagers from the city started as bloggers under the name of somestuff4ru in 2012 when they were the first year engineering students.

Three years later they are poised for a big leap with an aim to converting their newly-floated venture cybercubes – specialising in web designing, android and IOS app development and search engine optimisation (SEO) -- into a billion dollar company one day.

Hailing from the lower middle class, Roopesh Chinni and Uday Kiran Kemburu were inspired by the Google ads they received on their blog. “We started getting ads fetching us Rs.500 and little more three months later. At that time, there were not many SEO providers practising in an ethical way and we could fill the void for a nominal fee,” says Roopesh.

Both aged 19, Roopesh and Uday are good friends and study at Pydah Engineering College. Their passion from childhood was to do something on their own. During their blogging stint, their attempt was acknowledged by many as best web-designing site based on the keywords and visitors they could attract. They were on cloud nine when they received their first major order, two each of Rs.50,000 from Youth Seva and P.V.J. Education Society.

When they were making baby steps and got 25 orders from Bharatmasala.in, a spice portal, Smartpair.net, a web coaching site and 23 others in 2014 after a shaky start, they gained in confidence to improve their market strategy by creating a team from amongst their friends.

Today, the Sunrise Startup Village being managed by MobMe Wireless Ltd of Kochi Startup Village fame at Rushikonda in Visakhapatnam, came as a big boon for them as they were selected as the first student startup.

“We are very happy to gain access to the world-class infra at the startup village. The government has given us five Mac Pros systems, each costing around Rs.1.50 lakh. We are promised seven more in the next phase along with high-speed bandwidth with a speed of 100 mbps,” says a jubilant Roopesh.

Their startup has created a 15-member team including co-founders of cybercube Roopesh and Uday, M.V. Sudhakar Reddy, marketing chief executive, B. Gunamant Yadav, senior executive and V. Sai Akhil, managing director.
