Fifty startups selected by MobMe Wireless Ltd for grooming at Sunrise Startup Village will also get a cafeteria, conference room, 24x7-power supply, library and all other amenities shortly.

The MoU were signed by MobMe with them for full support for five years. The top few among them will also get an opportunity to visit successful incubators at Silicon Valley.

MobMe has plans to expand its activity beyond the startup village. Sources said they would approach Visakhapatnam Special Economic Zone, Duvvada, for allotment of space so as to start a centre there for grooming entrepreneurs hailing from Anakapalle and other rural areas.

As part of Innovation and Startup Policy, the State has created a fund of Rs.100 crore, said IT advisor to the government J. Satyanarayana. He said 20 per cent waiver in attendance and 4 per cent grace marks were being given to startups to encourage entrepreneurship among students.
