Policeman hacked to death

Raju P.P., 46, a Civil Police Officer attached to the Kulamavu police station, was hacked to death by his wife’s sister in their house at Kurupilangadu, near Nadukani, on Saturday.

The Kulamavu police suspect that family discord may have been the reason for the attack, around 10.30 p.m.on Saturday.

The police suspect that Raju assaulted his wife in an inebriated condition and his wife’s sister, Sarassamma, attacked him while trying to escape from being assaulted. A case has been registered and inquiry is on.
