TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Airlines will be banned selling tickets at Soekarno-Hatta airport starting on February 15, 2015, in an attempt to eradicate illegal agents.
However, Garuda Indonesia said that it will continue to provide counters at the airport although it will not sell tickets. "[The counters] will be only for emergencies. Just customer service," Garuda Indonesia spokesman Pujobroto said in a statement on Sunday, February 1, 2015.
The counters, Pujo said, will only provide tickets that have already been booked in advance through the internet, ATM, or the airline's call center. The counters will also provide services to change flight schedules and handle customer complaints.
