SURAT: A 23-year-old woman ended life with her 20-year-old brother-in-law on Saturday out of illicit relationship among them. They feared that their community will not accept their relationship and they will have to face social disapproval. The woman eloped with her brother-in-law couple of days ago leaving her husband and two year old son.
Body of Rupali Chaudhary, a resident of Singanpor Cross Road in city and Ghanshyam Chaudhary, cousin brother of Rupali’s husband Dinesh, were found on railway track near Udhna railway station of the city on Saturday.
Police was alerted by railway authorities when a train pilot alerted his office. Police found a phone near the body and on contacting the numbers in the mobile the deceased were identified.
The family members informed police that Rupali was missing since Thursday. They searched for her but failed to find her. She left home with luggage. Police investigation revealed that Ghanshyam was living with family of Dinesh since last four years. Ghanshyam was working as diamond polisher and Dinesh allowed his cousin to stay with him to help him setup business. Dinesh runs a mobile shop.
While staying with Dinesh and his family Ghanshyam developed relationship with Rupali. Elder members in Dinesh’ family came to know about the relationship after which Dinesh thrown Ghanshyam out of his home. But within few days the couple resorted to eloping and ultimately ended life.
