The Vizag Information Technology Association (VITA) will conduct a mobile app development contest as part of the Visakha Utsav.
With Visakhapatnam being chosen for development as a Smart, the theme for the contest is ‘Smart Vizag’ with four tracks — cleanliness, tourism, security, and transport.
Contestants may choose from any one of the sub-themes to develop an innovative, useful, and easy-to-use app. Registration is open till January 12. The last date for receiving entries is January 20. The primary partner is Imaginnovate Techslutions. The evaluation partner is Prospecta Technologies.

VITA president Deepak S. Madala told reporters on Thursday that software enthusiasts, irrespective of their age, were eligible to take part. To register, one has to visitwww.vitaindia.org.
VITA is an association of 35 IT and ITES firms in Vizag and seven academic institutions as members.
