Mooney further stirs the Cobblepot on this week’s ‘Gotham’

Alex O’Connor (Gavin Stenhouse) is a rookie CIA analyst who’s impressing his bosses with his penetrating mind and dispassionate nature. Much to his surprise, he is assigned his first case — to examine the statements of a defecting Russian spy who claims that rogue elements within her organization are planning a terrorist attack on US soil.

Alex has no idea how complicated his life is about to become. His parents, Katya (Hope Davis) and Mark (Scott Cohen), have long been part of the dormant Russian sleeper cell he’s investigating. Mr. and Mrs. O’Connor are freaking out because an unwelcome former colleague (Morgan Spector) is pressuring them to turn their son into a spy before his investigation unmasks them. Series premiere.

Gotham

Monday, 8 p.m., Fox

Fish Mooney (Jada Pinkett Smith) reveals a secret of Oswald Cobblepot’s, prompting Maroni to take him on a trip to test his loyalty. Meanwhile, Gordon (Ben McKenzie) and Bullock (Donal Logue) hunt down a killer who targets victims with severe phobias and Bruce Wayne (David Mazouz) confronts Gordon for failing to make progress on his parents’ murder case. The kid has a point: The crime took place in the first episode. Back in September.

Fresh Off the Boat

Wednesday, 8:30 p.m., ABC

Eddie Huang (Hudson Yang, near right) moves with his family from Chinatown in Washington D.C. to suburban Orlando. The year is 1995. Eddie is 11. He doesn’t know what to make of hot, sticky Florida with its bland culture, fierce humidity and lack of anything to do.

Eddie’s mom, Jessica (Constance Wu, third from right), finds Orlando a strange place — from the stay-at-home moms, to the hospital-like grocery stores, to the fact that the humidity ruins her hair. His father, Louis (Randall Park, second from left), wants to open his own business — the Cattleman’s Ranch Steakhouse. First order of business: hire a white host to greet diners and make them feel comfortable. Series premiere.

The Blacklist

Sunday, 10 p.m. and Thursday, 9 p.m., NBC

The James Spader drama stands to rake in the ratings this week, with the choice post-Super Bowl time slot, and “The Blacklist” is going to make the most of it with a two-part episode that begins Sunday night and concludes on Thursday night.

The show kicks off with Red (Spader) being arrested and taken to a secret detention facility. At the facility, Red tangles with Luther Braxton, a thief (Ron Perlman) with whom he shares a complicated history. FBI boss Cooper (Harry Lennix, above left with Amir Arison) struggles to rescue his team from the detention facility and stop Braxton from obtaining confidential information. Megan Boone and Diego Klattenhoff co-star.

Lisa Vanderpump’s adopted son hopes to learn about his heritage. In other developments, Brandi and Kyle visit basket case Kim, who has been released from the hospital, and insults fly at Kyle’s gay mixer. Lisa Rinna learns the difference between tops and bottoms. Eileen Davidson looks for an exit.

Cookie (Taraji P. Henson) is apprehensive when she receives an anonymous gift from a secret admirer. The clotheshorse and FBI snitch suspects it’s a veiled threat from a person from her prison past. Meanwhile, Lucious (Terrence Howard) takes charge of Hakeem’s (Bryshere Gray, far right with Serayah) first video shoot. Co-starring Jussie Smollett.

Raylan (Timothy Olyphant) follows a trail of illegal explosives in an attempt to pin Boyd (Walton Goggins), who discovers he’s run afoul of a dangerous new player in town. Co-starring Joelle Carter.

How to Get Away with Murder

School is back in session after the holiday break and the campus is abuzz with one topic: where is Professor Annalise Keating’s missing husband? Keating’s pet students continue to be questioned by the police and we find out exactly how they’ve been dealing with the guilt of killing Sam (Tom Verica).

Annalise tries to keep things business as usual by taking on a new client who is in the mob. Marcia Gay Harden guest stars.
