Manda Krishna serves ultimatum on KCR

February 01, 2015 12:00 am | Updated 05:49 am IST - WARANGAL:

MRPS leader Manda Krishna Madiga on Saturday demanded that Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao drop five Ministers belonging to upper castes and induct persons belonging to the Mala and Madiga communities and women immediately.

Mr. Krishna Madiga said he would lay siege to the residence of the Chief Minister on April 4 with members of the Mala and Madiga communities if corrective measures were not taken by then.

Addressing a press conference here, Mr. Krishna Madiga said the MRPS and the Mahajana Socialist Party (MSP) would undertake a series of agitations beginning February 5. They would hold public meetings at all district headquarters to highlight the raw deal being meted out to the Madiga community by KCR, hold all-party meetings on February 7 at all mandal headquarters and stage black flag demonstrations at all district headquarters from February 9 to 15. The MRPS would launch a long march on February 16 from all the 119 Assembly constituencies which would culminate at Indira Park on April 4. From where they would march to the residence of KCR.

“Our struggle is for self-respect and against the injustices of KCR. We appeal to people and all parties to support us in our struggle for social justice,” Mr. Krishna Madiga said.

“The three Reddy and two Velama Ministers should be dropped from the Cabinet immediately,” he said.
