CPI ridicules KCR’s plan to shift Secretariat

February 01, 2015 12:00 am | Updated 05:49 am IST - KARIMNAGAR:

The CPI State secretary Chada Venkat Reddy has ridiculed the proposal of Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao to shift the existing Secretariat to the TB hospital land at Erragadda under the pretext of ‘Vastu dosham’

Talking to newsmen here on Saturday, he flayed the Chief Minister for taking unilateral decision of shifting Secretariat without consulting all-parties. Demanding an all-party meeting on the issue, he said that the shifting of TB hospital from Erragadda to Vikarabad would deny medical assistance to the poor people coming far flung places to Hyderabad. Flaying the State government for the neglect of burning farmers’ issues, who were resorting to suicides due to failure of crops following the drought and power cuts, he warned that the Left parties would unite and fight against the State government for its anti-people policies. He reminded that the Telangana statehood was achieved with the united fight by people of the region.
