Nevertheless, red carpet dresses aren't all Alberta Ferretti is capable of doing. As part of the limited edition fall/winter 2015-2016 collection, the designer draws inspiration from Medieval history, infused with her signature romance.
The medieval knight-inspired collection, which is an accessories-only affair, features a pair of classic pumps, studded boots, in addition to a studded clutch, amongst other items. Black, silver and pink are the main colors used within for the collection, and materials including satin, velvet and tulle take center stage. The limited edition accessories - which are high on rhinestones and in some cases, diamonds - are mainly iconic Alberta Ferretti staples, decked out in a glamorous iced-out package, ideal for the holiday season.
The engravings on the the handcrafted Made in Italy goods, are inspired by the patterns of medieval armor and the sheath of King Arthur's Excalibur. The in 1981-established Italian fashion house will release its limited edition accessories line two times this year, throughout the course of 2015.
