Three accused, arrested for looting Rs 4.35 lakh from an elderly businessman by throwing chili powder in his eyes at Rachna Nagar on Wednesday, were taken on police remand.Govindpura police cracked the case in 24 hours.

BHOPAL: Three accused, arrested for looting Rs 4.35 lakh from an elderly businessman by throwing chili powder in his eyes at Rachna Nagar on Wednesday, were taken on police remand.
Govindpura police cracked the case in 24 hours. Of five accused, Rakesh, Shaitan alias Shanna, Prithvi Rajput were arrested on Thursday. Police recover Rs 48,000 from them on Thursday.
Officials claimed on Friday they have recovered more looted money from the accused and tracked down two other accused Tinku and Raja.

Rakesh, Shaitan and Prithvi Rajput were produced in court and taken on remand till February 3.
City superintendent of police (Govindpura) Shiv Dayal said the accused are being interrogated and they have accepted their involvement half a dozen incidents of thefts and burglaries, which is being verified.
