Kate Gosselin Kate Plus 8 News: Talks Getting Fired From 'Celebrity Apprentice', Slams Kenya Moore

Last Monday, Kate Gosselin was fired from "Celebrity Apprentice," and the mother of eight admitted that she was surprised about that.

"I couldn't believe it," Gosselin said to TVLine. "I'm not a sore loser, so I had a great experience, but I was genuinely shocked. I did not see that coming."

On her last task in the show, Gosselin was the project manager and the teams had to come up with a clever marketing tactic to promote Donald Trump's new resort. After her team lost, she brought Kenya Moore and Vivica A. Fox with her to the boardroom, who started bickering with each other at the start of the task.

On the Wendy Williams Show, Gosselin said of her co-stars, "I know it appears like I just kind of shrunk away, but the truth is, it went on and on and on for like an hour. I was just letting them fight it out. I mean, it felt like two 14-year olds."

"The truth is, where there are huge personalities that are just going to make mountains out of molehills and talk about plastic and all that stuff, I don't get involved. I've done real world issues and real life problems, that just doesn't even feel relevant to me," she added.

The "Kate Plus 8" star also told TVLine that she thinks it should have been Moore who was fired.

"But this is TV, so you can't deny the ability of drama to get ratings," she said.

Gosselin also said that when she joined the competition, her goal was to win, yet she never wanted to sacrifice her values and morals because she was trying to set a good example to her children.

"I knew I had to practice what I preach, because I'm preaching to my kids. Don't be the mean girl, work hard, take any job. It doesn't make me feel good to be conniving and manipulative," the reality star said.

"Celebrity Apprentice" airs on Mondays at 8 p.m. on NBC.
