Defending Senior Cup champions and three-in-a-row title chasing Blackrock College will fancy their chances of advancing to the last four after they were drawn with Cistercian College Roscrea in yesterday's second-round draw.

Roscrea were impressive 26-0 winners over Wesley College in the first round but their head coach Pieter Swanepoel afterwards admitted that they "still have a lot of work to do."

They will need to cause one of the biggest Senior Cup upsets in recent years if they are to beat a much fancied 'Rock side.

Clongowes and St Michael's will go head-to-head in a mouthwatering clash.

Michael's came through a tough test against St Mary's while Clongowes' 70-8 win over Castleknock College was the most eye-catching result of the first round.

St Andrew's reward for easily seeing off Kings Hospital is a tie against Newbridge College ,while Belvedere College, who are seeking their first title since 2008, take on CBC Monkstown.

Bank of Ireland Schools Senior Cup second-round draw: Clongowes Wood v St Michael's (Feb 8); Newbridge v St Andrew's (Feb 10); Blackrock v Cistercian College Roscrea (Feb 12); Belvedere v CBC Monkstown (Feb 13).

All games will kick off at 3.0 in Donnybrook.
