Goldfarb Faculty Leader Elected to the NLN Nursing Certification Commission

The National League for Nursing (NLN) recently elected Rita Wunderlich, PhD, RN, CNE, interim academic chair of upper division and director of West Campus Site at Goldfarb School of Nursing at Barnes-Jewish College, to serve as a member of the NLN Nursing Certification Commission.

The National League for Nursing (NLN) recently elected Rita Wunderlich, PhD, RN, CNE, interim academic chair of upper division and director of West Campus Site at Goldfarb School of Nursing at Barnes-Jewish College, to serve as a member of the NLN Nursing Certification Commission.

“I am honored to serve on the board of this prominent and valuable commission. I look forward to working with the members and supporting the mission and vision of the NLN,” says Wunderlich.

As a member of the commission, Wunderlich will join other elected members to oversee and supervise the certification of educational programs. Wunderlich's elected position is in place from 2014 to 2017.

“Congratulations to Dr. Wunderlich, who is well qualified to hold the leadership position with the National League for Nursing,” says Gretchen Drinkard, PhD, RN, CNE, Jack Taylor senior associate dean for academic affairs and professor at Goldfarb School of Nursing. “We are excited that Dr. Wunderlich will represent Goldfarb School of Nursing and help guide the work of the NLN Nursing Certification Commission.”

The NLN Nursing Certification Commission serves as an independent body within the NLN with respect to the development, evaluation, supervision and administration of all certification program policies, provisions and activities.
